Personal data

Privacy policy

This website is designed to collect only what is strictly necessary.

Data controller

OSVITA, a simplified joint-stock company (SAS) at 58 rue de Monceau, 75008 Paris, France (RCS Paris 993 137 611), which is carrying the Top Académie project. Contact: contact form.

No tracking, no advertising cookies

Our pages use no analytics or advertising tools and set no tracking cookies. The fonts are hosted with the site itself; the only page that relies on an outside service is the contact page, for the anti-spam check described below. That is why you will not see a consent banner.

One cookie exists: the one that keeps you signed in to your personal space. It is set when you sign in, lasts twelve hours, is strictly necessary for the service you are asking for, and disappears when you sign out.

Technical data

As with any website, our hosting provider Cloudflare receives each visitor's IP address and technical information about their browser in order to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We do not use this data to identify you.

Our contact form

The form on our contact page collects your name, email address and message, together with your phone number and preferred campus if you choose to give them; for job applications, it also collects the position you are interested in and your CV. This information reaches us by email and is used solely to reply to you and follow up on your request. For admissions enquiries, what you tell us about your child (first name, age, club or project) is used only to prepare our meeting with your family.

To protect the form from automated submissions, the contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which looks at technical signals from your browser to check that the form is being used by a person rather than a bot. This check is used for security only, never for advertising or to track you across websites.

Your message reaches us by email and is recorded in the school's contact register, read by the leadership team and by no one else, so that your enquiry is not lost and we can find our earlier exchanges. If you tick the “news from the school” box, we also keep that consent and its date. If you later open a personal space with the same address, your messages are attached to it so that you can find them again.

The application form (Apply) collects your CV, your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the role and campus you are applying for, your availability, your English level and a few lines about your motivation. This information is stored in our recruitment workspace, read by the leadership team and by no one else, and used for this recruitment; if you agree, it is also used to offer you other roles. A personal link, sent by email, lets you follow your application, correct it or withdraw it. The section “AI-assisted reading of applications”, below, sets out what an artificial intelligence tool may do with your CV and how to refuse it. The same Cloudflare Turnstile check protects this form.

  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (enrolment or a job application), and our legitimate interest in replying to the messages we receive.
  • How long we keep it: three years from our last exchange for family enquiries, unless your child is enrolled; no more than two years after our last contact for unsuccessful job applications. You may ask us to delete your data sooner.
  • Who sees it: the Top Académie founding team, and no one else. Your data is never sold or passed on.
  • Service providers: Cloudflare, which hosts the website, protects the forms and passes your messages on to us; Google, whose email service receives them, whose servers in Belgium run the school's application, and whose identity service checks sign-ins to personal spaces; Neon, which hosts the database in Frankfurt; and Resend, which sends the application follow-up emails. These companies are based in the United States; any transfers are covered by the safeguards provided by the GDPR (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

AI-assisted reading of applications

To prepare the reading of an application, we may use an artificial intelligence tool. It does two things, and only two: it copies the CV into a structured profile — experience, qualifications, languages, certifications — and it compares that profile with the scoring grid for the post, criterion by criterion, quoting the passage that supports each assessment.

The tool helps us read. It decides nothing: no stage of an application changes without a person acting, and a score closes no door. For the comparison with the grid it receives no name, no email address, no phone number, no photo and no video: it works on an anonymous profile, in which dates are replaced by durations.

You can review that profile from your personal link and correct it if it is wrong; your version is then the one that counts. You can also refuse this reading, by ticking a box on the application form or from that same link: your application is read by hand, by the same people, and follows exactly the same path. Applications submitted before this page was published are never read by this tool. The score does not appear on your tracking page; we give it, with its reasoning, to anyone who asks.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in examining applications methodically and treating them all in the same way.
  • Automated decision-making: none. No rejection, no interview invitation and no hire results from automated processing within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR.
  • Service providers: Google Cloud, whose Vertex AI service runs the model inside the European Union, and Anthropic, which publishes that model. Under the terms of that service, the content sent is not used to train a model.
  • Log: we record the date, duration, model used and volume of each call, so that we can follow its use and its cost. This log holds no application content.

Your personal space

You can open a personal space by signing in with a Google account. We create no password and keep none. Google passes us your email address and the name on your account, and nothing else: no photo, no contacts, no mail content. We record the date of your last sign-in, the version of the terms you accepted, the language you want our messages in, and the reason for your visit if you tell us.

This space brings together your exchanges with the school and, if you have applied for a post, the stage your application has reached. It also shows the sections that will open later. Today it holds no information about a pupil: school progress records will not exist until the school opens, and they will be described here before being put into service. Tuition fees shown in a family's space are a provisional range.

  • Legal basis: performance of the service you ask for by opening this space.
  • How long we keep it: for as long as you use it. An account left three years without a sign-in is closed and emptied.
  • Deletion: you delete your account from your space. It is then closed and emptied — name, language and consents erased, address replaced, and no further sign-in possible. The messages you sent us remain in the contact register until they are deleted automatically; write to us to ask for immediate deletion.

News from the school

If you asked for it, we write to you about news that bears on your enquiry: a campus opening, open days, admission dates. This list is never sold or lent. You can withdraw your consent at any time from your personal space or by writing to us, and every message carries the means to do so. Legal basis: your consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your data, to object to its processing, and to request that processing be restricted or your data transferred to you, by writing to us through our contact page. We will reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).

Use of the site and of the personal space is also governed by our terms of use.

This policy is a translation of the French politique de confidentialité, which prevails in the event of any discrepancy.
